Some peoples Thanksgiving favorites.

Many people have likes and dislike about Thanksgiving, and all it comes together at the table. I asked around to some students and staff to hear what it is that they like and don’t.

Ada Schwarz (9)

  • What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?

“My favorite is the stuffing because my dad always makes the best.” 

  • Least favorite Thanksgiving food?

“The pie; I just have never liked it.”

  • What are your favorite traditions? 

“My family doesn’t really have any traditions for Thanksgiving, but every so often we’ll travel to Minnesota to celebrate with my moms side of the family.”

  • Something you’re doing over break?

“This year we’re taking a road trip to Minnesota for Thanksgiving.”

 

Mackenzie Klein (12) 

  • What is your favorite food?

“I love the pumpkin pie.” 

  • Least favorite food? 

“The turkey and cranberry sauce.” 

  • What are your favorite traditions? 

“Making lefse with my family.” 

  • Something you’re doing over break? 

“I am going to visit my friend in Florida; I’m very excited.”

“Pumpkin pie or mashed potatoes.” 

  • Least favorite food? 

“The stuffing.” 

  • What are your favorite traditions? 

“Helping my family make all the food.”

  • Something you’re doing over break? 

“I am going to hang out with my family.” 

Madelyn Tran (12) 

  • What is your favorite food?

“My favorite food is definitely mashed potatoes; I could eat an endless amount of it.” 

  • Least favorite food? 

“My family has this weird sweet potato casserole with marshmallows that my mom makes. I don’t know why, I am just not a fan of it.”

  • What are your favorite traditions?

“Probably watching movies with everyone while the food is being prepared.” 

  • Something you’re doing over break? 

“I’ll mostly be spending my break with my sister who is coming home from college.” 

 

Emily Kavlock (12) 

  • What is your favorite food?

“Sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top.” 

  • Least favorite food? 

“Green beans casserole.” 

  • What are your favorite traditions?

“We have a super long dining table where we all say what we were grateful for the past year.” 

  • Something you’re doing over break? 

“Going shopping with my sister.”

“I’m thinking…turkey, nothing too exciting.” 

  • Least favorite food? 

“Let me call my mom” *calls mom* “Cranberry stuff.” 

  • What are your favorite traditions?

“Hands down waking up in the morning, well I’m not going to talk through the whole day, but help make the food while the Macy’s Parade plays. It helps open the gates for Christmas.” 

  • Something you’re doing over break? 

“Decorating for Christmas, coaching swimming, and spending time with family. Heart <3” 

The main meaning of Thanksgiving is being able to come together with the people you love. Happy Thanksgiving from the Post 🙂
