Summary

Released December 19, 2025, “The Housemaid” has quickly become a talking point among viewers. Based on a book, this thriller is about a young woman (Sydney Sweeney) who takes up the job of a live-in housemaid for a wealthy family. Little does she know, she’s getting herself twisted in a web of dark secrets.

After watching this film, we have only good things to say. The plot was extremely engaging, and the constant plot twists and turns kept our attention. Amanda Seyfried, who played the wife of the household, was exceptional at portraying the role as it contained many psychotic behaviors. The tension throughout the film was very intense, and we can give credit to each of the actors. Brandon Sklenar played the role of the husband, and he did not disappoint.

Averie’s Review

I thought this film was super engaging. It is easy to tell that each scene was well thought out, and the actors were really embodying their characters. The plots of movies have recently gone downhill; however, “The Housemaid’s” plot was intense and definitely worth your time. I recommend this movie to people who want to see something different and new. Overall, this movie kept me on the edge of my seat and was engaging with many of the viewers. I have heard many positive things from others about “The Housemaid”, so my opinion aligns with the public view.

Raina’s Review

As someone who has a hard time sitting through movies without getting bored, I can confirm that the film was a very engaging watch. With all of the unexpected plot twists, I was eager to see what would happen next throughout the entire movie. The thrill factor was definitely there throughout, and I think the actors did an amazing job bringing their characters to life. There were a lot of complex characters, yet they were portrayed so well and accurately. It is definitely one of the top movies I’ve seen recently, and I think that everyone should go see it in theaters at least once.
